You've booked your hotel in New York City, now it's time to plan out what to do. We hit up the concierge team at the very family-friendly Trump Soho for their expert recommendations for the Big Apple's littlest visitors.

3 Fun Things to Do In New York City (Downtown)

1. Children's Museum of the Arts (CMA): Located just a few short blocks away from Trump SoHo, CMA is an art-filled, interactive museum that will keep kids of all ages entertained.  There is a media lab for watching short films, a clay bar, a sound booth to record a song or speech, a fine arts studio and a ball pit.

2. The High Line: The High Line is a great way for families to enjoy the outdoors and experience this elevated park, one of Manhattan's newer features. In July and August, there are weekly programs designed just for kids, including “Wild Wednesday” where kids can build and learn about various specimens, “Lawn Time” for younger kids that features storytelling and singing, and “Arty Hours” on Saturdays.

3. Statue of Liberty: Visiting the Statue of Liberty allows families to spend time outside, learn about the rich history, and enjoy the ferry ride to Ellis Island which provides a unique vantage point of Manhattan from the Hudson River. Be sure to make a reservation before you go.

Ok, we lied. We actually have three more tips. This time from Carlos Freire, Chef Concierge at the Trump International Hotel & Tower at Central Park. These are great if you plan on staying uptown.

3 Fun Things to Do in New York City (Central Park)

1. Victorian Gardens at Wollman Rink: Open from now through September 7, the family amusement park features rides, games and even a petting zoo. Tickets on the weekends start at $8 with an additional $1 per ticket for each ride.

2. The Hans Christian Andersen Statue of the “Ugly Duckling”: Take a copy of the book with you to this statue inside Central Park and read it to your children. (The location is 74th Street near Fifth Avenue, west of Conservatory Water.)

3. The Loeb Boathouse: Go here for lunch or to rent a boat or to do both! Boat rentals cost $15 an hour. The restaurant is tres fancy but there's also Express Cafe which has more casual food.
