If you've got a “Thomas & Friends” lover in your family, you no longer have to travel to the United Kingdom to visit the “cheeky one's” theme park.
A second Thomas Land theme park is set to open tomorrow, August 15, inside Edaville USA in Carver, Massachusetts, about an hour south of Boston. Thomas Land will cover 11.5 acres within Edaville, bringing the island of Sodor and its inhabitants to life. Families can visit Knapford Station and Tidmouth Sheds and hop on 11 themed rides featuring several different characters.

Bertie’s Bus Tours: Hop aboard Bertie’s Bus Tours and buckle up! Enjoy a whirl-around up to 28 feet high and feel like you can touch the sky. Height Requirement: Under 36″ must be accompanied by a responsible adult
Cranky’s Crane Drop: Strap in tight for a truly Cranky experience. The ride up might be smooth, but as you near the ground, get ready to bounce up and down! Height Requirement: 42″ minimum
Diesel Derby: Hop on board these Diesel trains and enjoy a ride with the entire family. Venture around a 400-foot long track and never look back! Height Requirement: Under 42″ must be accompanied by a responsible adult
Firefighting Flynn: Calling all junior firefighters! Jump into Flynn’s basket and help him put out the fire by shooting water to extinguish the flames in this fun interactive ride. Height Requirement: Under 36″ must be accompanied by a responsible adult
Harold’s Lift-Off: Have you ever wanted to pilot a helicopter? Here’s your chance! Kids can take control by lifting the handles in each car up and down while spinning round and round. Height Requirement: Under 36″ must be accompanied by a responsible adult
Rockin’ Bulstrode: This tug boat is like no other. When Bulstrode sails back and forth, watch out: he’ll whirl you around in circles, without a doubt! Height Requirement: Under 42″ must be accompanied by a responsible adult
Sodor’s Cranberry Carousel: Here’s your chance to ride in a cargo train! Strap yourself in for this fun carousel-style train ride. Height Requirement: Under 36″ must be accompanied by a responsible adult
Sodor Windmill: Jump into one of the baskets and enjoy a Ferris Wheel ride on this whimsical Windmill! Height Requirement: Under 36″ must be accompanied by a responsible adult
Toby’s Tilting Tracks: Jump in, buckle up, and hold on tight! Join Toby for one wild ride as he rocks you around with a unique spinning and tilting motion. Height Requirement: Under 42″ must be accompanied by a responsible adult
Troublesome Trucks Runaway Coaster: All aboard for thrills! Jump on the Troublesome Trucks for a speedy roller coaster ride and hold on tight… there are lots of slopes and turns! Height Requirement: 42” minimum, 42”-47” must be accompanied by a responsible adult.
Winston’s Skyline Express: Hop on Winston and view the park from a whole new perspective with this monorail inspired ride. Height Requirement: Under 42″ must be accompanied by a responsible adult.
Tickets for Thomas Land at Edaville USA start at $29 for general admission. Seniors get $3.00 off that ticket price while children under 2 are free. All in all, a rather inexpensive theme park cost, compared to other parks in the USA.
