Once we got over the initial shock of seeing North West in an all-leather outfit (the look is fierce, but we feel for the nanny who had to struggle to get this on the babe), we noticed that little North was shacked up at Le Royal Monceau Raffles Hotel in Paris. What a brilliant hotel choice, if only North was a little older to enjoy it.
Despite being an ultra-luxury hotel where rooms often cost more than a $1,000 Euros a night, the Royal Monceau is incredibly kid-friendly. So much so, they even tout their new kids program on the front page of their website.
Le Petit Royal, as the program is called, is centered around “creative workshops” led by professional artists and which are inspired by major exhibitions happening in Paris. For example, this Saturday the hotel is offering a Niki de Saint Phalle workshop, based on the works of the French-American sculptor and painter.
Later on this month, Royal Monceau will hold pizza-making workshops for kids taught by chefs at their Michelin-star Italian restaurant, Il Carpaccio. There are also DJ mixing classes available for teenagers and guided Paris tours for families, complete with scavenger hunts at Parisian landmarks. Worried about the food? Don't be. Each restaurant and lounge at the hotel has a dedicated kids menu as does room service. You can peep a variety of other kid-friendly activities offered by the hotel here. We're guessing North West didn't need to use the services of a personal shopper.
The workshops are for kids ages five and up are held during Saturday brunch. They are free for hotel guests and Saturday brunch guests to attend. Brunch is gratis for children under six while adults are 78 euros while children between six and 12 are 34 Euros.
Up in the guestrooms, cribs and connecting rooms are, of course, available but Royal Monceau has also partnered up with the French childrens designer, Bonpoint, they of the most adorable and delicate children's clothing. Each child staying at Royal Monceau will receive a Bonpoint kitten named Royal, as well as the exclusive Bontpoint skin care line for children and a few other Parisian-themed goodies.
Right now, the hotel is offering a “Family Escape” which gets you 50 percent off the second room, as well as buffet breakfast for the hotel family at La Cuisine, complimentary internet and if available, an upgrade for the parents' room.
