The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection Will Be Kid-Friendly

Estimated read time 2 min read

When we heard that the Ritz-Carlton brand would be launching the Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection in 2020, we immediately assumed that this ultra-small and ultra-luxurious ship would obviously be adults-only.

But no!

Giving a closer look at what's onboard, we see that the Ritz-Kids program will be in effect on the ships. Here's what they say:

Families exploring the world together are welcome aboard The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection. With its own dedicated space on board, Ritz-Kids® is an educational and fun-filled program that encourages children to explore the world around them. Enhanced services will be available during holidays and summer months.

If you aren't already familiar with the Ritz Kids program, it's pretty incredible, largely because the program has partnered with Jean-Michel Cousteau's Ocean Futures Society to teach kids about water, land, environmental responsibility and the local culture.

We can't find out much more about how Ritz-Carlton Yachts will cater to kids, especially when it comes to sleeping arrangements, but we'll be keeping our eyes on this. For now, we have this official word from the Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection.

Ritz-Kids programming is still under development but it will have its own dedicated space on board for children ages 4-12.

Whee! And yes, we know that 2020 is a ways off but that means that you'll have enough time to save your money for one of the Ritz-Carlton Yacht voyages. The inaugural voyage from Ft. Lauderdale throughout the Caribbean islands is set for February 2020 and rooms currently start at $8,100 for two people.
