In Palm Springs, there are no shortages of awesome pools to lounge by but we especially loved this little kids pool at The Ritz-Carlton Ranch Mirage.
Only a foot and six inches deep, the pool is gated on every side. It also sports a safety cover on the hand railing so it doesn't get too hot. This is key because little kids love to hang onto the railing.
The pool, which is next to the main resort pool, also has cabanas for nap time and a killer view to admire. We especially liked how it didn't have crazy water structures because while those can be fun, they can be a nightmare for parents to monitor.
That said, if you are looking for a wet and wild time for your older kids, stay at the Omni Rancho Las Palmas, just down the road from The Ritz-Carlton, and which has Splashtopia–a water playground with 100-ft. water slides, a lazy river and even a small beach. Don't worry, there's an adults pool there too,
Rates at The Ritz-Carlton Rancho Mirage start at $329 a night in early January. There's a $30 daily resort fee. Rates at The Omni start at $259 a night and there is a $28 daily resort fee.
