Over the summer we asked, “What is a Bubble Bum and why might you need it?”
We found out it that it was essentially a portable, inflatable booster seat that rolls up and fits into a convenient oblong shaped pouch. It also weighs less than a pound, making it extremely easy to carry around. Even better, the Bubble Bum meets all US federal motor vehicle safety standards as well as European regulations.
But, how does it REALLY work?
Recently, a traveling mom we know used Bubble Bum during a trip to Hawaii with her 4-year-old. Here's what she had to say about it:
It is the size of a loaf of bread, weighs next to nothing, fit in my carry-on bag and worked perfectly for what we needed it for….in cabs between hotels and the airport.
If you were driving around a lot, I would probably stick with either renting a regular booster seat or bringing mine on the plane, BUT this was so easy and worked really well.
As you know, the key is the seatbelt positioning for the booster. The inflatable BubbleBum works great for this.
It literally takes 2-3 breaths to inflate and then you roll it up to deflate and throw it in your bag…
