Kids Will Go Crazy in Cabo…For The Ball Pit at The Airport

Playgrounds at airports are few and far but Trips + Giggles will be making note of them where we see them. Know of a cool airport playground? Let us know!

While our tequila-fueled dream vacation to Los Cabos, Mexico doesn't involve the children, we did make note of the special kids zone at the VIP Lounge at the SJD Los Cabos International Airport should we one day decide to bring them along.

The two-story lounge in Terminal 2 strikes a very modern tone with Jetsons-like furniture throughout. Compared to the other retail and food offerings in this new-ish terminal, the lounge meals and snacks were very so-so and the chairs were not comfortable. We actually stared longingly at the Starbucks next door. But there was free WiFi and more importantly, the Club de Niños.

The Kids Club featured a ping-pong table, a billiards table, an Everybody Dance game, an intense Playstation console and best of all, A BALL PIT. That will surely get the sillies out before your flight. (But the germaphobe in us also hopes everyone washes their hands immediately afterwards.)

You can typically get access to this lounge via your loyalty status on an airline or through Priority Pass. However, we got ours as part of a transportation package through the Capella Pedgral resort. Vamanos!
