We've extolled the benefits of booking a room at the Hilton Anaheim near Disneyland before, namely because you can pick your exact room via the Hilton Honors app, which is key for when you want to catch some of the Disneyland fireworks from the comfort of your bed. (Don't worry if you don't have the app. You can select a room with a view of the park when making your reservation too.)
So during Halloweentime when the Disneyland Hotels were at their peak rates, we opted again for a room at the Hilton Anaheim, which is actually one of Disney's Good Neighbor Hotels. And it was totally fine. Nothing spectacular, but just fine for a one-night stand, er, stay.
Indeed, not much has changed decor-wise since we were last there in 2015. If only they would add some USB ports near the nightstand, or the desk, or anywhere in the room really, then we would have upgraded this review from “totally fine” to “good.”
While the hotel is definitely family-friendly (the pool was going off during our early October stay), it is part of the Anaheim Convention Center so it is always full of convention-goers. Case in point: Starbucks in the lobby is crazy packed at all times. The parking garage also tends to fill up quickly thanks to convention-goers and meeting-takers. That said, the staff here is incredibly nice.

Also incredible? The savings compared to a Disneyland Hotel. Rooms at the park's hotels are upwards of $500 on a weekend, while the Hilton is usually hovering around $200. Getting to the park is doable via the Anaheim Resort Transportation system, ART, but we ended up just driving and parking our own car at the park. The good news is you can go in and out of the parking structures once you've paid the daily rate for parking.
In short, it's not the House of Mouse but it's perfectly good for a quick Disneyland visit.
