Why We Love It: Marina Park is located on the Balboa Peninsula in Newport Beach. It's both a community center and a sailing center that allows you to rent kayaks and paddleboards, play hoops and most importantly, spend hours on their nautical themed playground. Yup, there's a mini-lighthouse at the playground with a slide. How could we not love it?
What Ages?: All ages of course! The playground has areas for smaller children as well as basketball courts and randomly, an outdoor fitness circuit so adults can even get a workout in while the kids play.
When to Go: Anytime you want. It will be more crowded during summer weekends but there's lot of space for everyone and plenty of parking too for both cars and bikes. We biked here from The Lido House Hotel. There's also the Lighthouse Café restaurant next to the playground which is great for brunch.
