The other day, we gave you five family-friendly hotels in Los Angeles, but if you venture just a little past downtown, you'll find The Langham Huntington Pasadena, an old world luxury resort set on 23 sprawling acres at the base of the San Gabriel Mountains.
The resort is close to Old Town Pasadena, the Rose Bowl (where UCLA football games and concerts are held), The Huntington Library and Botanical Gardens, and many, many, historic residences that are worth checking out.
And of course, they love children at The Langham.

During our stay, we were greeted by this pink and grey houndstooth-checked Langham teddy bear “holding” a plate of cookies, with milk placed in the mini-bar.
The hotel also hosts an Imagine Tea Experience, where junior performers from Hollywood's Magic Castle will entertain young tea guests with close-up magic tricks. Ham, turkey and PB&J sandwiches and desserts such as “magically-decorated” cookies will be served along with pink lemonade, milk, and a selection of fruit-infused, caffeine-free teas. Tea guests are encouraged to dress up for the occasion, whether it be fancy princess or furry animal. There will be a special photo booth by Snapgram and craft time by Little Junebugs.
The next Imagine Tea is happening this Sunday, September 7 with seatings at 10am and 1:30pm. The pricing is $48 for adults and $28 for children four to 12.
