Yet Another New Attraction at a Major Theme Park Has Opened

Estimated read time 2 min read

The days leading up to Memorial Day Weekend 2017 saw quite a few new things happening in America's major theme parks—such as Volcano Bay at Universal Studios in Orlando and Pandora, the World of Avatar at Walt Disney World's Animal Kingdom park. But there was even one more new attraction that opened over the holiday weekend—Guardians of the Galaxy at Disneyland's California Adventure.

This ride actually replaced the old Hollywood Tower of Terror at the park (R.I.P.) but the thrill remains the same—a giant “free-fall” drop while Star Lord's mixtape plays in the background. Before the drop though, you'll be wandering through the home of Taneleer Tivan, who goes by the name The Collector and lives up to that moniker by housing a variety of interstellar artifacts and creatures, some of which just happen to be the Guardians of the Galaxy themselves, who are prisoners trapped in glass cases high above the fortress. Rocket manages to escape and leads you and the other strangers who happened to be in line with you on a rescue mission to save the others.

And now let's do a little Instgram round-up to see what else there is to know about this latest ride:
