The Best Way to Get to London From Heathrow Airport

It's one of our favorite cities and we love it even more because actually getting into London is so easy, compared with other big cities (ahem, Los Angeles, cough, NYC.)

If your flight arrives into Heathrow Airport (LHR), then you simply need to hop onto the Heathrow Express train which leaves right from the airport. There may be some walking in the airport to the Heathrow Express station but it's not a trek by any means. If you are loaded up with luggage, you can use one of the luggage trolleys.

The journey into Paddington Station (yes, that Paddington!) takes only 15 minutes, unless you come from Terminal 5 which is about 21 minutes. Ticket prices range from 22 pounds for an off-peak ticket to 27 pounds for a peak ticket. Best of all, kids under 15 travel free! There's WiFi on the trains and while the seats aren't luxurious, they are modern, new, and clean.

From Paddington, you can either hop on other trains and the underground to get you to where you're staying. Or you can pick up a black cab outside the station and take you to your final stop. Uber also works. If you were to take a hired car from the airport or the Tube, it would take about an hour. So this gets you into the city way faster.

Now if only other cities had such an easy way to get into town from the airport.
