Did you know? The original Trader Vic’s restaurant is in Emeryville, California, just next to Oakland. Go for the fun drinks and mocktails served in specialty glasses, stay for the indulgent Polynesian fare, and admire the boats in the Marina!
What Ages:
All ages are welcome of course. The restaurant has a Menehune menu for kids which has mostly American foods but a few island delights.
When to Go:
Dinner is a great time, especially when the sun is setting. However, if you've got a toddler in tow you can always go around 4 or 4:30pm and sit in the lounge. There they serve a full menu. This option also works if you can't make a reservation.
Good to Know:
The menu has a variety of cocktails and mocktails and they are all served in ridiculous photogenic glasses. You might find yourself deciding what to drink based on what glass it comes in. But be prepared for sugar rushes. #ithappens
