We're now looking for a reason to fly into St. Louis-Lambert International Airport solely because of this awesome airport playground!
The playground is actually a transportation-themed “exhibit” within the C Concourse of the airport at Gate 2. Officially called the St. Louis International Play Port, the space includes a kid-sized plane, an air traffic control tower with a slide, and a few other pretend airport experiences like car rental counters, a luggage conveyor belt and an airport screening area with a pretend x-ray machine. Kids can also hop into a model MetroLink light rail train and go behind the wheel of a car, truck and van.
This awesome airport playground is actually a special outpost of The Magic House, St. Louis Children's Museum. So if you're on your way to St. Louis, be sure to check that out too.
We've said it before and we'll keep on saying it—more airports need awesome playgrounds like this! Thank you Sharon H for sharing with us!
