James NoMad: A Suite Spot for The Fam in Manhattan

Estimated read time 2 min read

Finding a hotel with enough space for the family is not an easy feat in Manhattan, especially if you're traveling with two or more kids. Sure, you can argue that you'll hardly be in the room much because you'll be exploring all day so a cramped but cheap room will be just fine.

But when you have young kids that go to bed early, having a suite where you can actually close the door off from your bedroom to theirs is preferred. That way you don't have to go to bed at 7:30pm in the city that never sleeps.

Which is why we were so happy to see this exact set-up at a cool boutique hotel near Madison Park.

The James NoMad (NoMad stands for north of Madison Park) has a Jimmy Suite where a room with a king bed connects via a door to a smaller room with a pull-out couch AND another bathroom. It's the perfect kids' room.

Another reason families will love The James NoMad is that downstairs is an outpost of Scarpetta, famous for its simple but simply so good spaghetti and other upscale Italian dishes. (This is not Olive Garden people!)

It's also got a great lcoation on 29th and Madison Avenue, situating you closer to downtown sights than uptown but the Empire State Building is just five blocks away and there's a 4,6 line two blocks away. Oh and Shake Shake in the park is another two blocks away as well!
