School’s Out; Theme Parks are In

Estimated read time 2 min read

Summer is peak time for theme parks, especially this year as folks feel more comfortable being in larger crowds. Here are a few tips to maximize your fun:

🎡 Go Mobile:  most theme parks offer a mobile app that makes it easy to find park information like ride waits and maps but these are also being utilized for virtual queues and mobile food orders, especially at the Disney parks.

🍿 Pack the night before: Prepare your park bag the night before with hats, sunscreen, back up power chargers, snacks, and extra clothes. That way when you wake up, it’s get ready and go!

🍭 Be realistic: Unless you’re spending 3-5 days in a park area, understand that you’re not going to be able to do everything. And even then, you know probably won’t see it all. Try to pick 3-5 things you MUST do, including character experiences and food items, and then everything else will be a bonus.

🍔 Leave room for spontaneity: Following your Must-Do list can take the joy out of being in the park so be sure to relax at times and go with the flow. Sometimes the unplanned things are the most memorable!

💵 Set a budget: Talk with your kids beforehand about how much money they have to spend on souvenirs and treats, whether you are paying for them, or they use their own money or a little bit of both. Going into the park knowing they only have a set amount to spend will help them make smarter souvenir purchases (well, we hope!)

😆  Have Fun! The most important tip of all.
