Inside a Sumptuous Room at The Dakota Hotel Manchester

Estimated read time 2 min read

Here's a quick video from a classic king room at The Dakota Hotel choicely located in Manchester, England. Manchester? Yes, Manchester.

It's a great city with incredible history (It's basically the birthplace of the industrial revolation and did you know the atom particle was first split here? Oh and don't forget the band Oasis is from here!) and a slew of new restaurants and bars. Read more about what to do in Manchester on ShermansTravel.com.

The Dakota has made it possible for a hotel to be both sexy AND cozy. Even better it has an #AVGeek background as it was named for the Douglas DC-3 aircraft which the RAF called Dakota. The founder of the brand is Ken McCullough whom hotel nerds may remember as the founder of the MalMaison hotel brand. Also, this is the first time I’ve seen a place for “hair tongs” in a hotel.

That said, it's not especially family-friendly as most rooms don't have double beds. But if you're a couple with a young one who still needs a crib or a pak-n-play, it's perfect.
