If You’re Looking For Santa, You’ll Find Him at the Swissotel Chicago

Estimated read time 2 min read

We're only days away from Christmas so we figure why not just load up on hotels that are in the holiday mood? Every day until Christmas we'll be featuring a hotel's holiday decorations whether it be with gigantic gingerbread houses, over-the-top Christmas trees, thrilling lighting displays and best of all, Santa appearances.

If your kids ask you, “Oh where is Santa Claus?” You can tell them, “Why, he's probably lounging in the 2,000-sq.ft. presidential suite at the Swissotel Chicago.” That's because the hotel has turned this premium room into a swiss chalet (naturally) where guests can take elf-guided tours of Santa's festive lair, write letters to Santa, indulge in arts and crafts and sip on hot chocolate.

For the full chalet experience, the Santa Suite will celebrate the lavish and lively après ski culture and picturesque alpine environment. The over-the-top décor will include more than 16 snow-covered Christmas trees, all ornately decorated to represent the Swiss Alps with each tree highlighting a specific theme from the Zermatt, Matterhorn and Mt. Pilatus trees to the bunny hill tree, fur tree, plaid tree and more. Visitors to the Suite can hop on the Swissôtel chair lift and meet Santa Claus for an unforgettable photo opportunity, or stop by the white-out hot chocolate room for a mid-mountain warm up and collect their complimentary Swissôtel Chicago Santa Suite ornament.

There are even “Après Ski After Dark” events for adults with shot skis, DJ sets, and specialty cocktails.

But you better hurry down the chimney, er, over to the hotel fast. This is the last weekend the Swissotel will be open the Santa Suite as it will close on December 23. Buy your tickets on Eventbrite right here! If you can't make it, don't cry. The Santa Suite will be back next year!
