As far as gear goes, car seats are one of the biggest pains to haul along when you're flying to your destination.
For parents with babies and toddlers, there is always the question of “Do we bring the car seat onboard or do we check it?” For parents with older children, booster seats are easier to carry through the airport than the hulking toddler car seats, but they are still awkward to hold, especially when juggling your own carry-ons.
And if you're renting a car on your trip, you have to decide whether to bring your own car seats (either with you on the plane or by checking them as luggage) or use the car seats that the rental companies provide. (More on that to come soon.)
There have been some modern inventions as of late that make bringing your car seat with you a little easier, typically by combining the functions of a car seat and a stroller such as the Sit n' Stroll. Yet that comes at a heavy cost of $260. That's a plane ticket right there!
Sadly, parents with babies and toddlers are going to have to wrestle with the car seat dilemma for a little longer but parents with older children have a more affordable and convenient option to try.
It's called Bubble Bum. Cue up this viral video in your brain, then watch the Bubble Bum video below.

We're not crazy about having to inflate the product ourselves (we never went for those blow-up neck pillows either) and the seat doesn't work on the airplane since it requires a shoulder belt. However, a kid who uses a booster seat in a car doesn't really need a booster seat for the plane.
But the convenience factor is very, very, VERY persuasive. Picture it: this below is all you have to carry-on with you.

Bubble Bum retails for $29.99 and is available on their website at BubbleBum.us, Target.com, Babies RUs.com and on Amazon Prime as well. It can be found in Walmart stores and some select Target stores.
